Le cabinet Bruzzo Dubucq a conseillé Sesterce dans la constitution d’une joint-venture, majoritairement détenue par SoftBank Group Corp, retenue pour développer et exploiter un campus de data center dédié à l’intelligence artificielle d’une capacité de 1 gigawatt à Bosquel, dans la Somme.
Situé dans la région Hauts-de-France, le site de Bosquel bénéficie d’un positionnement stratégique à proximité des principales places économiques et technologiques européennes – Paris, Bruxelles, Amsterdam, Londres et Francfort – permettant de servir les clients opérant des charges de travail IA à faible latence à l’échelle du continent.
Le projet s’inscrit dans l’engagement de SoftBank en France, révélé lors du sommet Choose France 2026. Cet engagement – qualifié par SoftBank Group lui-même de son plus important investissement en infrastructures d’IA en Europe – porte sur jusqu’à 75 milliards d’euros pour développer et opérer 5 GW de capacité de data centers dédiés à l’IA en France. La première phase, représentant un investissement initial de 45 milliards d’euros, vise à déployer 3,1 GW dans la région Hauts-de-France d’ici 2031, sur trois sites : Dunkirk (Loon-Plage), Bosquel et Bouchain. Le campus de Bosquel, développé par la joint-venture avec Sesterce, représente 1 GW de cette première phase.
La joint-venture combine la plateforme mondiale d’infrastructures IA de SoftBank Group avec les capacités opérationnelles de Sesterce dans le déploiement de data centers. Le campus sera conçu pour répondre aux exigences de performance, de durabilité et d’échelle imposées par l’écosystème IA européen en pleine expansion, en recourant à des technologies avancées afin de minimiser son impact environnemental et sa consommation en eau.

ANCRAGE TERRITORIAL
Au-delà de sa portée nationale et européenne, le campus de Bosquel est conçu pour générer des retombées durables pour la communauté locale. La joint-venture a prévu la création d’un fonds de dotation de 10 millions d’euros, cogéré avec la région Hauts-de-France, destiné à promouvoir l’usage de l’IA au sein des entreprises, écoles, universités et organisations de la région.
Un centre communautaire sera établi sur le site, servant d’espace de rencontre pour les résidents, les entreprises locales, les étudiants, les entrepreneurs et les acteurs publics, avec pour mission d’assurer un dialogue continu autour du projet et des opportunités offertes par l’IA.

Bruzzo Dubucq has advised Sesterce in the formation of a joint venture, majority-owned by SoftBank Group Corp, selected to develop and operate a 1 gigawatt AI data center campus in Bosquel, in the Somme.
Located in the Hauts-de-France region, the Bosquel site benefits from a strategic position close to Europe’s main economic and technology centers — Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, London and Frankfurt — enabling it to serve customers running AI workloads at low latency across the continent.
The project is part of SoftBank’s commitment to France, announced at the Choose France 2026 summit. This commitment — described by SoftBank Group itself as its largest AI infrastructure investment in Europe — covers up to €75 billion to develop and operate 5 GW of AI data center capacity in France. The first phase, representing an initial investment of €45 billion, targets 3.1 GW of capacity in the Hauts-de-France region by 2031, across three sites: Dunkirk (Loon-Plage), Bosquel and Bouchain. The Bosquel campus, developed by the joint venture with Sesterce, represents 1 GW of this first phase.
The joint venture combines SoftBank Group’s global AI infrastructure platform with Sesterce’s data center deployment capabilities. The campus will be designed to meet the performance, sustainability and scale requirements of Europe’s rapidly expanding AI ecosystem, using advanced technologies to minimise its environmental impact and water usage.

LOCAL ANCHORING
Beyond its national and European significance, the Bosquel campus is designed to generate lasting benefits for the local community. The joint venture has established a €10 million endowment fund, jointly managed with the Hauts-de-France region, aimed at promoting AI adoption among local businesses, schools, universities and community organisations.
A community centre will be established on site, serving as a meeting space for residents, local businesses, students, entrepreneurs and public stakeholders, with a mission to ensure ongoing dialogue around the project and the opportunities created by AI.
