Mathieu Couvé

Partner

After initial experience at a law firm specialising in restructuring and insolvency law, and then at a Paris firm of court-appointed administrators (administrateurs judiciaires), Mathieu Couvé joined Bruzzo Dubucq in 2023 for his final internship. He then played an active part in the Restructuring and insolvency department alongside Étienne Feildel.

Since being sworn in in January 2024, he has worked on the firm’s sensitive matters within this department, of which he is now the operational lead: out-of-court procedures, monitoring of insolvency proceedings (procédures collectives), and acquisition transactions.

Holder of a Master 2 in the Administration and Liquidation of Businesses in Difficulty and a Diplôme de Juriste Conseil d’Entreprise (DJCE) from the Institut de droit des affaires of Aix-Marseille University, as well as a University Diploma in French trusts (fiducie) from the University of Orléans, Mathieu Couvé is also developing the firm’s fiduciary practice through a dedicated subsidiary: BD Fiducie.

Also a tutor in restructuring and insolvency law at the Aix-en-Provence Faculty of Law, he published an article in the December 2025 issue of the Revue trimestrielle de droit commercial (RTD Com) and contributes regularly to Mayday.
