Areas of expertise
Thirteen departments cover business law, from litigation to tax. Each brings together lawyers well versed in their field and works with the others as soon as a matter requires it.

Since its creation, Bruzzo Dubucq has been built around its litigation expertise, which today lies at the heart of its identity. The cases we handle frequently pit French and European businesses against major multinationals. In this respect, our litigation team has several distinctive features.
Restructuring and insolvency
Dealing with business difficulties is at the heart of the modern economy.
Economic warfare
At a time of instability at every level, the Economic Warfare department serves French businesses in addressing the challenges of economic warfare, characterised by the use of legal and illegal means to protect or conquer markets. We take into account the various dimensions of economic warfare, including the war of ideas, cognitive warfare and legal warfare, also known as “lawfare”.
Corporate I M&A
Every business needs support as it grows.
Tax
Tax is a shifting and demanding field that calls for top-level expertise. To support you, our tax team implements innovative and carefully controlled solutions. Following up at every stage of your projects, both in their design and in their implementation, our lawyers act as technical advisers, combining engineering with clear explanation.
Employment law
Employment law is not limited to the day-to-day management of working relationships. In companies, it is often the point where economic, human and strategic balances crystallise: business transfers, restructurings, acquisitions, crisis situations or sensitive disputes involving the employer, its executives or its key managers. Every employment decision entails legal, financial and reputational risks that go far beyond the field of employment law alone.
Customs law
The customs border is no longer merely a fiscal line: it is the front line of contemporary economic warfare. Additional duties imposed by the Trump administration, European anti-dumping measures against Chinese electric vehicles, Russian and Iranian sanctions, export controls on dual-use goods, the carbon border adjustment mechanism, the forced labour regulation: the customs arsenal has become a geopolitical lever. Flows of goods have become weapons; customs regimes, battlefields.
Distribution I Networks
Ensuring the growth of networks and preserving the value of the products and services distributed.
Innovation
The department advises companies, investment funds, infrastructure operators and public entities operating at the intersection of regulation, geopolitics and technological innovation.
Business criminal law
Criminal law concerns situations in which conduct may constitute an offence for which a criminal penalty is incurred. This may be, for example, imprisonment, a fine, confiscation or a ban on managing a company or working in certain fields of activity. The stakes can therefore be particularly high.
Public business law
Public action occupies a special place in French business life owing to the growing interventions and interactions of the State, local authorities and public and semi-public bodies in and with the various economic sectors.
Regulated professions
Practising independently does not mean facing legal and tax complexities alone.
Commercial leases
The commercial lease regime is one of the most technical areas of French business law. The tenant's statutory protection (propriété commerciale), the rent cap, the right to renewal, eviction compensation, the mandatory rules of the French Commercial Code: each mechanism follows its own logic, shaped by decades of case law.
